Positive: Friendly staff, great breakfast, good tiny pool and amazing courtyard in the medina. Kids enjoyed the tiny loft beds in the family room.

Negative: A few too many little flies in the room. Annoying enough that we tried to make our own little fly traps... This is maybe a bit too picky considering the environment.

Positive: The location was great. The host was lovely. The ryad was absolutely beautiful and their resident pets were adorable.

Negative: I was under the impression we would have our own washing machine as listed in the booking, not a paid laundry service.

Positive: Exceptional in every way. The Ryad , the food, but above all the hospitality of the Staff. The Ryad Manager could not do enough for us. Booking us a last minute guide to take us around the medina, arranging taxis for us to name but a few things. All Staff were so friendly and made us feel welcomed. The pool was an added bonus in the heat. Also being greeted by the resident tortoises was always a treat too. We will return xx

Negative: I cannot think of a thing. Everything was perfect.

Positive: Fancy garden, interior scenery, historical place to stay. Friendly staff.

Negative: Access to hotel real problem. Without internet and navigation apps nearly impossible to find the riad. Walking thru 1.5 m wide old streets mandatory min. 250 meters. No car access. If you go by taxi, don't try to find an access. They will leave you farther place. You must find a push car and to discuss price for it. Not recommended for people having walking difficulties. Riad managers should send messages by Booking to warn guests to make taxies enter nearest parking like "Parking Ain Azliten". My suggestions valid for all Riads in Madina area.

Positive: Gorgeous courtyard. Spacious and luxurious room with sitting area. Fabulous bed and linens. Breakfast was sumptuous. Dinners were excellent. Wine selection was adequate. Service was impeccable.

Negative: the steep winding stairs were a bit challenging, but that's Morocco!

Positive: We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Ryad Salama. The riad is truly charming, with a beautiful garden that feels like a peaceful oasis. At night, it becomes even more special, quiet, softly lit, and very atmospheric. Our room was a good size with a cozy balcony, perfect for unwinding. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was excellent, something not always guaranteed in traditional riads. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout our stay, and both breakfast and dinner were simply wonderful. A special mention to the manager, Lolanda, who always made a point to chat with us during breakfast, a thoughtful, personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. One thing to note, the birds in the garden are very much part of the experience. They will, without fail, wake you up around 6am every morning… and they are loud! Charming at first, but something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper and prefer to sleep with the windows open for natural air. Overall, a beautiful riad with great character and genuinely warm hospitality, a place we were very happy to call home for a few nights.

Negative: As for areas of improvement, towels are not changed unless requested, which may not suit all guests. The WiFi could also be improved, while we were able to connect at times, the speed was quite slow and not quite in line with expectations for a high-end riad.
